Dr. Taylor DeLaura

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

While Dr. Taylor’s journey began in the mountains of Colorado, they have spent the last several years building a home and a career here in the heart of Philadelphia. Growing up in a blue-collar household in Pueblo West, Taylor learned early on that hard work and integrity are the most important tools a person can have—values that now guide their surgical practice.

Dr. Taylor’s academic path is as diverse as their background. After earning a double major in Molecular Biology and the Classics at the University of Colorado Boulder, Taylor moved to Philadelphia to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Today, as a resident in the prestigious six-year combined OMFS-MD program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Taylor is deepening their commitment to the Philadelphia community. Whether they are navigating complex surgical cases or cycling a “metric century” through the Pennsylvania countryside, Taylor brings a persistent, “grit-over-status” mindset to everything they do. Patients appreciate Dr. Taylor’s unique ability to blend high-level Ivy League expertise with a down-to-earth, Colorado-born perspective.
